Laura Dodd is a dynamic executive with a passion for creating inclusive and vibrant economies. As the current Deputy Director of Economic Development for Oakland County, Michigan, she leverages her expertise to provide services and support to the county's businesses and residents Prior to her current position, Laura was instrumental in launching Oakland Thrive as its Chief Operating Officer. She built the organization's core operations from the ground up and secured a $17 million contract with Oakland County to implement the Business Forward Small Business program. Laura holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications from Western Michigan University. Her dedication to her community is further demonstrated by her service as President of the Huron Valley Schools Board of Education. Laura's extensive experience leading organizations through periods of growth and transition makes her a valuable asset to the Oakland Thrive board.
