With your support – and in partnership with Oakland County Veterans’ Services – we can ensure no veteran in our community goes hungry, lacks transportation, or vital resources. Every dollar you contribute will help us deliver essential support to those who bravely served.
In Oakland County, we believe those who have served our country deserve our deepest respect—and our support. The Support A Hero Fund is a dedicated initiative to provide food directly to veterans in Oakland County.
• Help reach our goal of $500,000 over 36 months!
• 100% of public donations go directly to providing resources such as food and transportation for veterans in Oakland County.
• Every $30 donation provides a box filled with nutritious, wholesome food for a veteran in need.
This fund contributes to:
• Resource Fairs—These are key to connecting Veterans to their earned benefits.
• Transportation—These men and women have traveled to every corner of the world to protect our freedom now they have a chance to go any where in Oakland County for free. This Rides On Us.
• Veterans Food Distribution Events—Veteran food insecurity involves multiple, intersecting factors. These include the transition to civilian life, financial struggles, limited access to resources, and spouse unemployment. Food insecurity among veterans means struggling to afford enough food for an active, healthy life.
